Before you start an application, you will first receive counseling from our Directors Mortgage Reverse Mortgage specialist. You will then be provided with a list of qualified HUD approved counseling agencies who will provide the independent, third party counseling. The counseling can either be done on the telephone or, in some cases by a face to face meeting. Generally, counseling takes 30 to 60 minutes and is completed in one session. This process is required by Directors Mortgage and by law to give you protection and peace of mind.
